It's not every day you come across a true friend, one to sit and have a good laugh with when embarrassing paparazzi pictures surface of the two of you swimming on holiday in St. Barts together. Or commiserate about what a total buzzkill that Chevy Chase could be on the set of Three Amigos. Or give sage advice about how you were way too talented to get involved in any of that Pink Panther business but a paycheck is a paycheck. Or really level with you when your late-night banjo sessions need to be reeled in a smidge. But so goes the friendship of Martin Short to Steve Martin. Friends for well over 30 years, the two comedic legends have volumes of material to talk about and for some fly-on-the-wall treatment, they are letting fans into the conversation for the night with the performance "Steve Martin and Martin Short in A Very Stupid Conversation" at the Hard Rock Live. The evening will be a glimpse at Martin and Short's long history together in an informal, conversational setting. And there will be banjos! The night also includes a performance by Steve and Marty's All Male Bluegrass Boys. Doors open at 7 p.m. Saturday at 1 Seminole Way, Hollywood. Tickets cost $65 to $145. Call 954-797-5531, or visit hardrocklivehollywoodfl.com.
