If you’ve ever been in a relationship, chances are you’ve had your heart broken once or twice. And after you drowned your sorrows with a gallon of your favorite ice cream in one sitting, you probably found yourself asking, “What happened?” If you never found your answer, you may just start believing that it lies within the universe when you see Abel Cornejo’s play Collide, now playing at the World and Eye Center in Fort Lauderdale. In this play, told through multiple disciplines including dramatic scenes, performance art, movement, corporal mime, photography, and science, one woman’s universe suddenly collapses. And when four planets collide on Earth, four men and women in relationships are forced to face reality and confront their fears.
Don’t miss the performance, described as “visually stunning, dark, and truthful,” at the World and Eye Center, located at 109 NW Fifth St. in Fort Lauderdale, on Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $10. Call 954-756-1071, or visit worldandeye.com.
