Costumes and Candy at the Casino

Attention, costume whores and anyone else who thinks Halloween is a great time to cash in on the one time of year your creepiness is actually praised: Seminole Casino Coconut Creek's Halloween Costume Contest is about to go down, and it's going to be epic. There's a total of $4,500 in cash and prizes just waiting to be given out to those who master dressing in the scariest, funniest, and most original costumes they can think of. If you've got a Seminole Player's Club Card, which is available free to all visitors 21 and older, then you can enter to win. The cost is free, but participants must register in front of the CenterStage at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek from 6:30 to 8:15 p.m. on Saturday, the day of the event. While dressing as Drunk Freddie Krueger might be awesome, make sure those blades are fake! No sharp objects allowed. The Seminole Casino is located at 5550 NW 40th St. in Coconut Creek. The fun starts at 8:30 p.m. Call 954-977-6700, or visit
