These days, you can't even turn on the TV without hearing about the benefits of walking and exercise. Sure, the American population is massively overweight and out-of-shape, but most of us are freaking busy. Most of us can barely find time to eat a meal, much less take a leisurely walk. This is why multitasking is key. Your chance to mix entertainment, drinking, and weekly exercise is here this Saturday. The Fort Lauderdale Bar Crawl is going to be making its way around downtown Fort Lauderdale (albeit slowly). Starting at 6:30 p.m., the crawl is going through the bars and eateries of Himmarshee Street. For $20 in advance, $25 at the door, the event gets you nine drinks at nine bars (three of which are offering Fireball shots). Participating bars are Tarpon Bend, Himmarshee Public House, Stache 1920's Drinking Den, the Dubliner, Lucky's Tavern, Briny's Pub, Capone's, America's Backyard, and Off the Hookah. Registration takes place between 6:30 and 9 p.m. at Lucky's Tavern. Tickets get you free admission to Off the Hookah all night, drink specials, and a chance to win prizes at the afterparty, including a 50-inch flat-screen TV. Lucky's Tavern is located at 214 SW Second St. in Fort Lauderdale. Visit fortlauderdalebarcrawl.com.
