Dancing Queens

The disco inferno burned out long ago. But if there’s ever a time to relive the all-night parties when disco balls acted as the sun and people were not too cool to dance, it’s in these final hours of the Gregorian calendar. You want to start the year out right, and disco dancing, after all, counts as exercise.

So grab your polyester suits and hope your Afro retains epic volume when you head to Mizner Park’s MoQuila Mexican Restaurant and Tequila Bar (99 SE Mizner Blvd., Boca Raton), which will host a free ’70s-style block party for the holiday. There will be drink specials starting at 4 p.m. and delicious food such as filet mignon and paella to help you keep up the pace until midnight. Call 561-394-9990, or visit moquila.com.
