Dozier in Delray

Where in Delray Beach can you attend a CD-release party featuring beautiful jazz music with a crowd of people eating everything from caviar and champagne to pizza and a six-pack? The Delray Beach Arts Garage, of course. It's been a communal venue for legends-in-the-making and current icons in the jazz arena, all joining together to celebrate music. This time around, they're celebrating the CD release of Paulette Dozier, who, with the help of coproducer/pianist Mike Levine, makes nostalgia seem modern with music reminiscent of a different era that still sounds fresh. The Dozier CD-release party takes place Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Arts Garage, located at 180 NE First St. in Delray Beach. Tickets cost $20 to $30 in advance, $25 to $35 at the door. Parking in the garage costs $5, or there is free parking located north of the Arts Garage toward Pineapple Grove. Call 561-450-6357, or visit
