DRAG Yourself Out

After the New Year’s Eve ball drops, other balls will be gently tucked away. Is there a better way to bring in the new year than watching feisty drag queens “sing” and dance to classic and current pop songs in outfits brighter than the fireworks that went off at midnight on January 1? Nope. The Arts Garage, located at 180 NE First St. in Delray Beach, has hosted many a Divas in Art performance, but each one is kept fresh with new songs and routines. And each time they perform, they hook more and more people into their quirky web of fierce hilarity. The show taking place Friday at 7:30 p.m. will start and end with covers of songs everyone recognizes, keeping the entertainment and energy levels higher than the performer’s stilettos. Admission is $15 to $25 in advance, $5 more at the door. Visit artsgarage.org, or call 561-450-6357.
