Kevin Nealon entered the public spotlight in 1986 thanks to an obscure television show called Saturday Night Live. For nearly ten years, Mr. Nealon brought his dry wit to characters like Subliminal Man, Franz, and Mr. No Depth Perception, and became a star by transforming himself into one of the most beloved anchors in the history of “Weekend Update.” Since leaving SNL, Nealon has gone on to play hilarious bit roles in Adam Sandler comedies, publish a book, keep his Twitter page updated with a hypochondriac thought of the day, and (currently) star as everyone’s favorite pot smoking, upper-middle class CPA Doug Wilson in Showtime’s Weeds. All the while, Nealon has been touring comedy clubs throughout the U.S., proving he’s either extremely dedicated to his craft, or just as self-absorbed and crazy as the “characters” he plays.

Kevin is bringing his standup act to the Palm Beach Improv (550 S. Rosemary Ave., West Palm Beach) Friday and Saturday. Tickets cost $26.63. Be prepared to have a couple drinks as there’s a two drink minimum. Call 561-833-1812, or visit palmbeachimprov.com.
Fri., Aug. 14, 8 & 10:30 p.m.; Sat., Aug. 15, 7 & 9:15 p.m., 2009
