Family Time Opportunity Alert

Crooner Nathan Pacheco will bring his freshly brewed blend of pop and classical music to the Parker Playhouse this Saturday. Pacheco straddles the generational and stylistic divide between classical music and contemporary pop, following in the footsteps of the likes of Andrea Bocelli and Josh Groban. So, if you like Michael Buble, you should go to this concert. If you like Igor Stravinsky, you should go to this concert. Sounds like a great opportunity for a good old-fashioned family outing. 'Tis the season for family time, after all, with Thanksgiving right around the corner. The Broward Center for the Performing Arts and PBS-TV WPBT (Channel 2) will present the concert, which starts at 8 p.m. in the Parker Playhouse (707 NE Eighth St., Fort Lauderdale). Tickets cost $27.50 and $37.50 and can be purchased online, by phone, or at the box office. Call 954-462-0222, or visit
