Feed Your Fetish

Stick and stones may break your bones, but whatever gets you off, baby. Whether you’re into leather or animal-friendly pleather, whips and chains, or just being told what a naughty, naughty boy you’ve been, there’s something for everyone at the Fetish Factory’s 18-Year Fetish Weekend in Fort Lauderdale. Fetishists are invited from all over the world to participate in the biggest fetish event in North America — and one of the biggest worldwide. Some of the best entertainers, hottest dancers, and best DJs from all over South Florida and New York will bring your fantasies to life Thursday through Sunday. Begin your weekend on Thursday and meet other kinky friends at the Marriott pool from 8 p.m. to midnight for the Meet and Greet Chillounge Cocktail Party ($5 online). On Friday, you can enjoy a free limo shopping trip to the Fetish Factory store from 1 to 7 p.m., and the Beat and Greet Fetish Party ($20 online) will begin at 10 p.m. at the Atrium Complex, located at 2520 S. Miami Road. The night will end with a free afterparty at the Marriott pool from 3 to 5 a.m. Enjoy more shopping from 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday, then join the 18-Year Anniversary Ball ($35 online) at 10 p.m. at Exit 66, located at 219 S. Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd. End the night at the free afterparty at the Marriott pool from 4 to 6 a.m. And on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m., join the Pervy Pool Party ($15 online) back at the Marriott pool. At 10 p.m., head on over to the Extreme Players Party ($30 online) at Firehouse, located at 1347 S. Powerline Road in Pompano Beach. And conclude your weekend of debauchery at the free afterparty at the Marriott pool from 3 to 5 a.m. Bus transportation passes are available online for $30, and a package for all nightclub events, the pervy pool party, and a transportation pass is $125 online. Women must be 18 and older, and men must be 21 and older to enter bars. The Fort Lauderdale Marriott North is located at 6650 N. Andrews Ave. Email [email protected] to get on the waiting list. KEEP NEW TIMES BROWARD-PALM BEACH FREE... Since we started New Times Broward-Palm Beach, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of South Florida, and we'd like to keep it that way. With local media under siege, it's more important than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" program, allowing us to keep offering readers access to our incisive coverage of local news, food and culture with no paywalls.
Rebecca McBane is the arts and culture/food editor for New Times Broward-Palm Beach. She began her journalism career at the Sun Sentinel's community newspaper offshoot, Forum Publishing Group, where she worked as the editorial assistant and wrote monthly features as well as the weekly library and literature column, "Shelf Life." After a brief stint bumming around London's East End (for no conceivable reason, according to her poor mother), she returned to real life and South Florida to start at New Times as the editorial assistant in 2009. A native Floridian, Rebecca avoids the sun and beach at all costs and can most often be found in a well-air-conditioned space with the glow of a laptop on her face.
