Like any fashion maven, owner Michelle Parparian knows the value of a makeover, so while the house itself will be gone, the vintage treasures will still be available through HoVs online shops (houseofvintageinc.com), along with booths at various antiques malls and crafts fairs. And if youve ever wondered just how Parparian goes about curating her collection, shell be blogging about traveling around the country hunting for vintage treasures to sell and allowing fans inside the world of a vintage picker at vintagepickers.wordpress.com.
Meanwhile, sister shop House of Sweets will move to a commercial kitchen and go mobile with their yummy treats.
As a celebration of its past (and future!), HoV will host Saturday s End of an Era bash with an everything-must-go sale (not so sad anymore, are you?), a House of Sweets cupcake-eating contest, local crafts vendors, and a water-balloon toss and sprinklers to keep you cool in the midday heat. The partys free, but bring some cash or cards, because you will not be walking away empty-handed. The festivities start at 11 a.m. at House of Vintage (123 S. Swinton Ave., Delray Beach).
