From Open Mic to Open Art

"Printed Matters" will have author Cary Polkovitz with special guest authors Billy Hitz and Monique Wegmuller reading from their works. Polkovitz is a Kickstarter baby who successfully funded his book Often Overlooked, which focuses on everyday beauty that people -- you guessed it -- often overlook. He accompanies these images with stories of his own creation that he will share at the exhibition. The exhibit opens at the Boynton Beach Art District's monthly open-mic night, Thursday, June 20, from 7 to 10 p.m. and runs through July 10. The ActivisArtistA Gallery is located at 422 W. Industrial Ave. in Boynton Beach. Visit activistartista.blogspot.com, or call 786-521-1199.
