You might as well pack on the pounds while you have the excuse and do your part to help animals in need. Your chance for the sugar high of the calorie-consuming season is coming up on Monday at , the saccharine event will feature more than 20 celebrity bakers battling it out for money and trophies while guests stuff their faces with unlimited desserts and pastries -- you may just want to forgo dinner beforehand. Bill and Christy from 107.9 FM will be judging the competition. The evening also includes a candy station, Susan Ashley performing live, a silent auction, a doggy fashion show, a gelato cart by Gelato Petrini, massages by Fabien DeGuffroy, piles of unlimited dog bones by Pet Meds, and the opportunity to feel good about lending some needy animals a helping hand. Greg Weiss will be master of ceremonies. It takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets cost $35 at the door. The Delray Beach Golf Club is located at 2200 Highland Blvd. in Delray Beach.
