Building a progressive community takes a strong, tight-knit group of people who care deeply to transform a drab neighborhood and spruce it up into something magical. The organizers of the inaugural Night Owl Market have this very vision — to gather locals for an evening of art, food, and music in an effort to add a splash of color and support in FAT Village. The market — which doubles as a fundraiser to benefit the Flagler Community Garden project — will feature more than 50 crafters, artists, and goddesses of the handmade world. The event runs from 5 p.m. to midnight Saturday and will coincide with the FAT Village Artwalk.
Free craft beers, wine, and booze will be served; music by DJs of vinyl hub Radio-Active Records will spin; and food trucks will be on-site serving late-night munchies.
C&I Studios, where the event takes place, is located at 541 NW First Ave. in Fort Lauderdale. Call 954-275-1563, or visit facebook.com/FlaglerVillage.
