Here's the Golden Ticket!

We had two options: Hide five Golden Tickets to the Chocolate Factory in this week’s issue or invite every single one of you to this event. Logically, we chose the one that won’t get our racks ransacked. So behold, Saturday at 10 a.m., consider this your gray stub to enter the Chocolate Street Festival and Movies event at Cinema Paradiso (503 SE Sixth St., Fort Lauderdale). Admission to both the event and all the films is free. Street vendors will set up sugary posts along the street, and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory will screen in the morning, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in the early afternoon. Here you’ll be able to sip on a chocolate martini and munch on diverse sweets as you watch chocolate on the silver screen! The experience will continue with “Chocolate Bingo” at noon: Every bingo card you purchase will get you chocolate, every win… more chocolate! Other cinematic treats in the lineup are I Love Lucy: Job Switching; a documentary, In Search of the Heart of Chocolate, about a woman’s chocolate obsession; and the film Chocolat (which stars Johnny Depp, so… genre: romance).
