Ladies Duke It Out à la Catherine Bach
With every trend, there's a historical figure who gave it its wave of fame. Catherine Bach, the '70s sex symbol of Dukes of Hazzard fame, popularized denim-cutoff shorts due to her look of innocence meets provocation. Today, hot pants and denim cutoffs continue to be paraded about in our hot region on women wishing to sport shorts to show off toned legs and curvaceous booties. In honor of the iconic shorts, AKA "Daisy Dukes," the Duke Lounge hosts the Daisy Duke Hot Body Contest on Tuesday nights in which ladies are invited to flaunt their best pair for a chance to win cash and prizes. The missy who looks best in her Daisy Dukes will score $100, second place will be offered a drink on the house every day until the next contest, and third place will win a tank top.
Two-for-one drinks will be served from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m., and the contest will go down around 9. Admission is free. The Duke Lounge is located at 902 N. Dixie Highway in Lantana. Call 561-318-7359, or visit facebook.com/thedukelounge.
Tuesdays, 7 p.m.-2 a.m. Starts: Aug. 14. Continues through Aug. 6, 2012
