Hot-Dipped Fun

For the third time in as many years, the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce's Boca Festival Days, the Alliance Association Bank, and Boca Raton Regional Hospital have partnered to promote the Lynn Cancer Institute's League of Ribbons initiative. Cancer is a terrible disease and, as such, one that is financially draining. The league strives to support patients at the institute in need of financial assistance during their treatment as well as provide wellness education, wellness programs, and peripheral support. You can't raise some funds unless you make it attractive to folks with deep pockets, and what better way to go about that than to make it a cheesy affair, with the Melting Pot providing melty fondue, cocktails, and wine. As culinary partner in this endeavor, the company has pledged a donation of 35 percent of its sales and 100 percent of the exclusive "Ribbontini," a cocktail created especially for the league. Booze, cheese, and a punch to cancer's face; what isn't there to like about this affair? The "FondueRaiser" will be held at the Melting Pot on Monday from 4:30 to 10 p.m. at 5455 N. Federal Highway in Boca Raton. Reservations are recommended by calling 561-997-7472 or visiting meltingpot.com/boca-raton. Mention "Dip for LCI" when making your reservations.
