Hot Wheels Help Sick kids

Little kids like hot wheels, and big kids do too. If you find yourself in the latter category but you also like helping children, you won’t want to miss North Beach Art Gallery’s second-annual “Art on the Plaza” Classic Cars Show, benefiting the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. Show off your own car or have fun checking out other people’s hot rods, vintage cars, rat rods, and custom builds. View paintings, photographs, jewelry, and painted glass by artistic vendors. And don’t miss live performances by the rockabilly band Slip and the Spinouts. Grab some food from award-winning food truck Jefe’s Original Fish Taco & Burger Truck. And participate in the 50/50 cash raffle. This free, family-friendly event is from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday in the Galt Ocean Plaza at NE 34th Street and A1A in Fort Lauderdale. Want your car in the show? Preregister for a $20 minimum donation, or register on the day of the event for $25. Artists can reserve a vendor space on the plaza for $25. Register by emailing [email protected] All proceeds support JDCH. Call 954-667-0660, or visit
