I’ll Get You, Red Baron

Time and time again, he sat on top of his red doghouse, donning his pilot’s helmet, scarf and goggles. Truly, did anyone try harder to defeat the German Fighter pilot, the Red Baron, than Snoopy? Now you can see images of him and his pals at the Charles M. Schulz: Pop Culture in Peanuts exhibit at the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood. The exhibit features 70 original cartoon strips spanning five decades and delves into the fads, trends, and contemporary influences on Peanuts. Visitors won’t want to miss the Peanuts Play Area, adjacent to the exhibition, where they can make their own cartoon creations. See Schulz’s originals, on display now until Sunday, September 1. The gallery, located at 1650 Harrison Street, is open to the public Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and $6 for students, seniors and children ages 4 to 17. Free Admission Day is Sunday, July 21. Call 954-921-3274, or visit ArtandCultureCenter.org.
