It's a Free Country

You can't put a price on good culture, and on this and every third Thursday of the month, neither can the Museum of Art. That's when their reoccurring series, Third Thursdays, offers free admission to the Museum, live entertainment, and 2-4-1 drink specials from the Museum Cafe.

On April 16, jazz guitarist Peter Betan will put on a free, live show that runs the gamut from jazz to world music to new acoustic. Betan's opened for the likes of Chicago, The Neville Brothers, and Bob Dylan - not bad for a guy from Miami. Stick around after the show for a free tour of the museum's newest exhibitions.
Third Thursday of every month, 5:30 p.m., 2009

KEEP NEW TIMES BROWARD-PALM BEACH FREE... Since we started New Times Broward-Palm Beach, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of South Florida, and we'd like to keep it that way. With local media under siege, it's more important than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" program, allowing us to keep offering readers access to our incisive coverage of local news, food and culture with no paywalls.
