It's All In Your Head

Featuring the work of Miami artist team TM Sisters, otherwise known as Monica and Natasha Lopez de Victoria, the Girls' Club has asked this dynamic duo to collaborate with the collection of contemporary art by women assembled by Fort Lauderdale collectors Francie Bishop Good and David Horvitz. Their artistic expertise and knack for cutting-edge work has been curated into an exhibition called "I Think It's in My Head," which runs through September. This duo's work is portrayed through a variety of media platforms, focusing on vivid metaphysics that entail transforming figures, metamorphosis, supernatural mysteries, telepathic communication, explosions of psychic power, and visible protagonists. Furthermore, their work frequently turns the table in terms of perception, where the viewer becomes the subject in order to experience a piece's essence inward. Works have been selected by internationally renowned artists Barbara Kruger, Jenny Holzer, and Ana Mendieta, along with current practitioners making headway such as Tracey Emin, Lorna Simpson, and Catherine Opie. South Florida artists include Harumi Abe, Jen Stark, and Samantha Salzinger. The Girls' Club is located at 117 NE Second St. in Fort Lauderdale. The exhibition is open from 1 to 5 p.m. every Wednesday through Friday until September 26. Call 954-828-9151, or visit
