Jerks Welcome

If only George Costanza — inventor of the infamous but somewhat lackluster “Jerk Store” comeback — had known of the Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival: Hell, maybe he could even act as master of ceremonies for the popular festival, taking place this Sunday in Sunrise. The gathering is dominated by a food court with a vast array of jerked dishes, like fish, shrimp, lobster, and ice cream. The Publix Jerk Cook-Off Pavilion houses cooking demonstrations, while chef Mazie Miller doles out culinary know-how in the Grace Village. The festival also includes live music and entertainment, vendors, kid-friendly activities, and various giveaways.
