Johnson Shows

As the summer season approaches, it’s time for Betsey Johnson to present the world with yet another of her over-the-top and flirtatious collections. Johnson emerged onto the New York City fashion scene in the 1960s. After being the in-house designer at Manhattan boutique Paraphernalia, she opened her own boutique on the Upper East Side and developed her trademark for having cartwheeling antics during her fashion show finales. Now with a career spanning more than three decades, boutiques all over the world, and various awards under her belt, Betsey Johnson is not only a designer but an American icon.

South Florida fashionistas will get a taste of what you could be wearing this summer at Wednesday’s Summer Soiree Fashion Show at the Cottage (522 Lucerne Ave., Lake Worth). A night of fashion and fun, Betsey Johnson’s Summer 2011 collection will strut down the runway with sounds by DJ Adam Lipson as well as a special performance by Cayson. The night will kick off at 8 p.m. VIP seating is limited, so please make sure to RSVP to [email protected]
Wed., June 8, 8 p.m., 2011
