Keyboard Combat

More than just the ivories are being tickled over at [email protected] Saloon during the weekly dueling piano nights, Thursdays through Saturdays. Yes, even your funny bone may be fondled a bit as pianists pound out tunes like “Sweet Home Alabama” with comedic commentary thrown in. Guests can help control the playlist but, as the Saloon’s event planner Andrea Lavalley says, “The piano players say a suggestion is without a dollar. A request is with a dollar.” Meaning, drop a buck or two in the tip bowl, pardner. Thursdays are Ladies’ Nights, so drink specials are offered. Wondering about the venue’s name? Well… that cowgirl may have been a 2 at 10 p.m., but she’s gonna look like a 10 at 2.

Enjoy the ebonies and ivories at [email protected] Saloon and Dueling Piano Bar, found above Roxy’s Pub at 309 Clematis St. in West Palm Beach. Shows start at 9 p.m. and admission is free. Call 561-296-7699, or visit
Thursdays-Saturdays, 9 p.m. Starts: March 26. Continues through Aug. 29, 2009
