Say adieu to solely watching the muscle-loving junkies break sweats at the gym, because the annual
NPC Southern States Fitness, Figure, Bikini, and Bodybuilding Championships are back. Now, the competition of physique poses, pushups, and pull-ups will fill the War Memorial. Watch the bodybuilders guys and gals, from teens to seniors stroll along the stage, satisfied in their tight skin. Marvel at their thighs. On Friday, see the Womens Figure & Bikini competitors perform two-minute choreographed routines that showcase their dance, theater, and gymnastic skills, and watch the men run obstacle courses for the Manuel Mair Mens Fitness Championships. On Saturday, besides the competitors flexing their best muscles for audiences and judges, there will performances from Guest Posers, who are all IFBB International Federation of Body Builders pro stars.
As promoter, I feel a bit like the ringleader at the circus, says Peter Potter in the news release, as we have so much going on in the two days that it will be nonstop action. That action starts Friday night at 6 and Saturday at 9 a.m. at the War Memorial (800 NE Eighth St., Fort Lauderdale). Tickets cost $15 to $30. Visit npcsouthernstates.com or the venue at ci.ftlaud.fl.us/wma. For tickets, head to ticketmaster.com.
