With more than 550 beers on hand in a retrofitted convenience store, the folks over at the Riverside Market in Fort Lauderdale somehow don’t think there’s enough variety for consumers. To help celebrate American Craft Beer Week (Monday, May 13, through Friday, May 17) these beer fiends are upping the ante by hosting a massive Florida Beer Co. tap takeover on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Be prepared to sample favorites from the Space Coast, including Florida Lager (a traditional lager), Devil’s Triangle (a citrus-fronted IPA), Gaspars Porter (nice and sweet), and Swamp Ape IPA (for the hopheads). Come in, grab a Florida-made brew, and activate your inner beer nerd by talking to reps from the Florida Beer Co. Of course, no craft beer celebration is complete without live music or the raffling off of prizes and swag. Riverside Market is located at 608 SW 12th Ave. in Fort Lauderdale. Admission is free. Call 954-358-8333, or visit theriversidemarket.com.
