Today, West Palm Beach is throwing a mammoth St. Patrick's Day Bash, anchored at O'Shea's Irish Pub (531 Clematis St.) and Roxy's Pub (309 Clematis St.). Sup on authentic Irish food and enough green beer to turn your eyes Hazel while you slowly delve into madness courtesy of the bagpipe music emanating from the two bars and everywhere in between. And wouldn't you know it: there's a parade too, and it's free. Likewise, the cacophonous cheers of "slainte!" should be louder than the crashing waves outside of Briny Irish Pub, tonight. (3440 E. Atlantic Blvd., Pompano Beach) Local alt-rock duo SeKond Nature takes the stage at 9:30 p.m., and the 93 Rock crew should be in attendance.
And if all that simply sounds like too much of a green vomit-inducing good time, you could take another route on SPD: Redhead Salon (7750 Nova Dr., Davie) is dubbing St. Patrick's Day "St. Baldrick's Day." That's when they'll invite men and women to completely shave their heads in support of cancer research, making a donation in the process to the St. Baldrick's Foundation, an organization that combats childhood cancer.
