Miami duo Raffa and Rainer made up of Raffa Jo Harris and Rainer Davies plays the sort of wistful folk that makes your heart leap. Romantic and beguiling, Harris floats her jazzy vocals over bluesy, understated guitars and syrupy saxophones on the pairs latest, No Mercy. The 11-track album traverses new, more intricate ground for the duo, from the bluegrass-tinged A Little Bit to the layered Palo Santo, and represents a fantastic follow-up to their 2005 album, Stolen Coal. The CD-release party will be Friday at Wynwood Social Club (2501 NW Second Ave., Miami). Doors open at 8 p.m., and the show kicks off with performances by Danielle Steele and Jesse Jackson. Admission costs $10, $15 including a copy of No Mercy.
