It’s been a couple of weeks since you opened your new Art Academy for Nintendo DS gift. Obviously, you’re now well on your way to becoming a professional artist. Find out how to polish your newfound creativity at AutoNation Academy of Art and Design’s Open House event this Saturday. The hands-on introduction will include a session with celebrity photographer Bette Marshall that involves demonstrations, guest participation, and lighting, setup, and camera instructions. Not into photography? The academy teaches other disciplines such as drawing, painting, ceramics, graphic arts, printmaking, and textiles. The event is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the AutoNation Academy of Art and Design, located at 1 E. Las Olas Blvd. in downtown Fort Lauderdale. There is no cost to attend, though an RSVP is requested. Email [email protected] with your name, phone number, and the names of all parties attending. Call 954-525-5500, or visit moafl.org.
Sat., Jan. 5, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., 2013
