Open Season on Shopping

Right now is the best possible time to live in Fort Lauderdale. The beaches are not yet littered with Canada’s finest thongs, we’re on an advent-style countdown to the end of hurricane season, and the weather is ideal for strolling. What better place for you to celebrate this perfect moment than at the annual Las Olas Art Fair?

Over 1,000 artists hand-picked by a panel of art experts will offer their goods – which range from painting and crafts to jewelry -- this weekend, turning the six-block stretch (SE Sixth Avenue to SE Eleventh Avenue, Las Olas Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale) into a bustling, pedestrian-friendly, shopping district. Be a part of it and remember why you moved here in the first place. The free event is Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
