The Coral Springs Museum of Art (CSPOA) is featuring a photographic exhibit until January 3, and New Times is proud to announce that we're quite familiar with the artist's work -- his writing work, to be exact. The photographer, Michael Mills, has been the New Times Broward-Palm Beach art critic for 14 years. Sure, he has held many writing positions at publications other than New Times over the years, as well as done other stuff. But it was a 2009 trip to his native Alabama when he picked up a camera and took shots in an old boathouse on his family's rural property. What he found was a wealth of material that has since culminated into a complete art exhibit, called "Michael Mills: The Object in Question," that has been shown in more than 20 venues around Broward County. It costs $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, $4 for tours, and $3 for students at CSPOA (2855 Coral Springs Drive, Coral Springs). Note! There is free admission every Wednesday. Call the museum at 954-340-5000, or visit csmart.org.
Mondays-Saturdays. Starts: Dec. 6. Continues through Jan. 3, 2011
