South Florida has become boxing’s new U.S. hot spot outside Las Vegas, thanks to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino (1 Seminole Way, Hollywood). It was there in March that Cedric Boswell defeated former heavyweight champ Oliver McCall by unanimous decision after ten rounds. This Saturday, Boswell returns for his next step toward a world title when the Heavyweight Factory presents Hollywood Fight Night, an all-night slugfest featuring plenty of local boys to cheer for.

Dieuly Aristilde, a Haitian-American heavyweight fighting out of Boynton Beach, will go six rounds, while Erik “The Viking” Leander of Palm Beach will pound out four. Cuban-born Yasmay Consuegra will defend his budding 4-0 perfect start, as will former Chicago Golden Gloves champ Tracy Rollins. Then, get ready for a female superflyweight match between Marisol Miranda, trained by Dania Beach’s Bonnie Canino, and Sheri Denise Jacobs. And to top it all off, everything will culminate with two main events. In the heavyweight division, Boswell will take on Kertson Manswell of Trinidad, and in middleweight, Domonique Dolton of Detroit will fight for his first regional belt against Lithuania’s Donates Bondorevas. Doors open at 6:30, and the punching starts at 7 p.m. Call 954-801-8344, or visit theheavyweightfactory.com.
