Pub Crawl On Wheels

Imagine giving the residents of a city that has earned the nickname Fort Liquordale carte blanche to drink, without the worries of driving around. Just think of the kind of libidinous revelry that will ensue. Friday night’s Fort Lauderdale Bus Loop is just that type of rowdy affair. Bacchanalian though it may be, the Bus Loop rewards the responsible ones in the crowd, as designated drivers in each group receive free admission at check-in. With paid admission, the Loop-y lushes receive a free drink at each of the eight participating venues. This party bus will be making stops at hot spots around the 17th Street Causeway (including Southport Raw Bar and Bimini Boatyard) and on the beach (Quarterdeck and Soprano’s Dueling Piano Bar). As a special tribute to the armed services during Fleet Week, all active military personnel also receive complimentary admission. This party of wheels takes place Friday. Participants must check in between 5:30 and 9 p.m. at either Lauderdale Grill, located at 1901 Cordova Road in Fort Lauderdale, or Beach Place, located at 17 S. Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale. Prepaid admission before May 3 is $30, or pay $35 at the door. All proceeds go to charity. Visit busloop.org, or call 954-574-6000.
