We’ve all been there – fiddling with iTunes for hours, trying to get the playlist juuuust right. But the perfect mix remains elusive. So we asked Mr. Tall, Dark, and Yummy himself – the Miami-based DJ named Cue – to share his secrets for creating a flawless flow. “It’s like the love process,” he says in a Chilean accent. “First there’s foreplay. You introduce the situation. Then it develops, there’s a climax, and you evolve. It could be like a wave, with ups and downs.” But essentially, he says, your mix should be “a projection of what’s in your head. You should have a clear idea of what you want to express. It will eventually flow right, if it’s true and honest and passionate.” Tonight, Cue, whose resumé includes gigs at all the cool clubs -- Groove Jet, Blue, Nikki Beach, Space, Crobar, Amika – makes his way north to spin at VooDoo Lounge (111 SW Second Ave., Fort Lauderdale). And the vibe he wants to communicate to you is: “sexy, deep, and funky.” Call 954-522-0733, or visit www.checkcueout.com.
