Oh, life before the internet. Can you even remember what it was like? You might have to Google it. Back in the day, the radio used to mean something besides Top 40 hits and a chance to win some free tickets. It was your most important source of entertainment and information. Instead of Huluing Saturday Night Live on Sunday morning for your entertainment fix, you had your ear glued to a story. The Arts Garage has felt some nostalgia for this period in time and is bringing it back in the best way possible with its new program, called Radio Theatre. Think A Prairie Home Companion. Remember how they act out an entire story, but just with their voices all on stage together? The entire performance is heard and not seen. That’s the concept behind Radio Theatre. Even better, they are picking different movies to be highlighted in this new format, and next up is Casablanca. This classic love story is a gem for all ages, making this particular performance a real treat. And if you can’t make it down for some reason, well... we’ll always have Paris. Or the internet. Casablanca|Radio Theatre is Wednesday and Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Arts Garage, located at 180 NE First St. in Delray Beach. General-admission tickets cost $15; prices go up $5 at the door.
