Rhymin’, Not Stealin’

Maybe when you hear of three rapping New Yorkers spittin’ sounds, the words “beastie” and “boys” come to mind, but this Thursday, it’s time to meet a new trio of sassy tongue-slingers. Mayhem Poets, comprised of three Brooklyn lads, will take to the stage with their mad rhyming skills. Along for the ride is beat-boxing flautist and YouTube fave Greg Pattillo. Listen to the boys as they throw down at Broward Center for the Performing Arts’ Amaturo Theater (201 SW Fifth Ave., Fort Lauderdale). Tickets cost $10 to $20, and the show begins at 7:30 p.m. Call 954-462-0222, or visit mayhempoets.com.
