Watch out, New Orleans, Chicago, and New York City, because the jazz scene has made its way to South Florida. And Felipe Lamoglia is just one of many jazz musicians making his way to the stage as part of the Jazz Project at the Arts Garage in Delray Beach.
Lamoglia, a world-renowned Cuban saxophonist, composer, and arranger, will perform with Nicki Orta on bass, Kemuel Roig on piano, Hilario Bell on drums, and Eddy Trujillo on guitar. This Grammy Award winner has also performed with great artists such as Raul de Souza, Bocato, Pepe Cisnero, and the late Celia Cruz. He has recorded albums with many talented artists and released his first solo CD, Dimensions, recorded in Brazil, in 2007 and continues to perform in jazz festivals and concerts throughout the world.
Become a part of the jazz scene on Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Arts Garage, located at 180 NE First St. Tickets cost $25 to $35 in advance and $5 more at the door. Call 561-450-6357, or visit artsgarage.org.
