Aside from a few notable exceptions - we're looking at you, Fat Albert - cartoon characters are generally in great physical shape. That's either due to the reflection of our ideal selves, or an intense amount of exercise from time spent chasing mice, roadrunners, and other manner of gentle creatures. Today, kids are six to 14 can join their favorite, animated characters for Get Animated, a day of physical fitness education and fun sponsored by the Cartoon Network. Kids can get fit and take part in wall climbing, a soccer challenge, a bicycle race, and basketball drills, plus they'll learn a bit about how to read nutritional information on product packages and make healthy food choices for themselves.
