Show Your Work

On Thursday, head to the Inkwell Pub in Margate for a chance to sample beers from local homebrewers for a special fundraising event. Starting at 8 p.m., enjoy free samples from South Florida-based brewers Crooked Smith Brewing and 403 Brewing Co. Drink up, because a portion of the proceeds from the evening will go toward Oakland Park’s Canine Assisted Therapy Inc., a nonprofit that evaluates and certifies dogs to work with disabled children and adults, children with special needs, veterans, hospice patients, and nursing-home residents. To add to the evening’s entertainment, special guest and burlesque dancer Lila Starlet will perform her “Skintillating Siren” burlesque show, evoking the Old Hollywood Glamour era. The Home Brew Night event will take place Thursday at 8 p.m. at the Inkwell Pub, located at 238 N. State Road 7 in Margate. The event is free and open to the public. Visit, or call 954-532-3511.
