Singer Bob Hoose may look like somebody’s sleazy uncle on All My Children, ‘80s vintage, but he can sing like Frank Sinatra. Really — he sings a lot like Frank Sinatra, or at least the way Sinatra sang before he pickled his vocal cords in Johnny Walker. This is the reason Hoose’s big signature show with The Gold Coast Orchestra is Celebration of Sinatra; a virtuoso performance of Blue Eyes’ very finest contributions to the Great American Songbook, sure to get your gramma’s bobbysox in a twist. Or yours, too, if you, er, swing that way. The jazz goes down tonight at 7:45 at The Broward Center for The Performing Arts’ Amaturo Theatre (201 SW 5 Ave., Fort Lauderdale). Tickets cost $35 - $40. Call 954-462-0222, or visit browardcenter.org.
