Could this be fur real? Cats have taken over the internet, and they are no longer satisfied with simple keyboard-playing videos. Cats are here to be a welcome part of our party life. The smart staff at Stache has taken note of the cute and fluffy trend and is bringing back Caturday Saturday for the third straight year. Why is this an event you don’t want to miss? It’s a masquerade ball meets hairball — the ultimate mystery-infused feline function this side of the Mississippi. The extravaganza begins as soon as you walk in, with champagne and kitten masquerade masks handed out at the door. Other aspects more exciting than catnip: for starters, kitten burlesque. We have no idea what that means, but damn it if we aren’t going to find out. There will also be a photo booth and a kitten art gallery. But the real treat will be the Cat Network on the patio. It’s your chance to adopt a kitten, making this the only party that will simultaneously get you drunk and grow your fuzzy family. Besides all the solid cat activities, this is the ultimate place to meet fellow fans of felines. Doors open at 8 p.m. Saturday at Stache, located at 109 SW Second Ave in Fort Lauderdale. Visit caturdaysaturday.com, or call 954-449-1044.
