OK, so those cheap-o surgical masks won’t keep you from catching the “swine flu,” but they’re not totally useless. Just ask the more than 20 artists taking part in the South Florida Graffiti Expo at Kevro's Art Bar. Hosted by noted poet/promoter Renda Writer and sponsored by WeMerge magazine, the expo is an eight-hour testament to the things that make hip-hop a community, not a commodity. While graff artists like Krave, Dekal, and Chrome do their thing on the 4,000-square-foot back patio, DJs Teak and Stevie D will hold it down on the audio front, b-boys and b-girls will trade headspins, and a series of classic b-boy films will be shown throughout the night (Wild Style, Krush Groove, etc.).

Celebrate all the elements of hip-hop culture this Saturday from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. Kevro Art Bar is located at 166 SE Second Ave. in Delray Beach. Admission costs $3. Call 561-ART-WORK, or visit kevroart.com.
