Holiday cheer is spreading like wildfire. At least holiday cheer comes with twinkle lights and less burning (unless you have a fireplace). Sure there are annoying commercials, but don't Grinch things up by focusing on the bad. Instead look toward the good -- such as the free Annual Holiday Boat Parade.
Every year, people flock to Boynton and Delray to see the decorated boats, enjoy the food and music, and even watch an old man get paid to have children sit on his lap. The party starts Friday at 5:30 p.m., and the boat parade begins an hour later, starting at the Boynton Beach Inlet and proceeding south to the C-15 canal in Delray. To ride the free shuttle, just park at northeast corner of East Ocean Avenue and Federal Highway. No pets allowed. Call 561-742-6246, or visit boyntonbeachcra.com.
