The Jacuzzi Boys have done something that most of South Florida’s garage rockers have failed to do over the past 40 years or so. They’ve melded the carefully coifed and manicured image of Frankie and Annette playing with beach balls with that of the dirty toothless guy at the edge of the Everglades who holds out a leathery palm, waiting for precious airboat-tour money. From the early 1990s hardcore music that moved south from Jacksonville to the raw hip-hop that moved up from Calle Ocho, lots of music has claimed to be uniquely Floridian — but the only thing that could label this Miami three-piece more local would be photos of them chewing on gator bites outside of the Elbo Room. The Jacuzzi Boys perform their sultry surf-esque garage rock at Radio-Active Records (1930B E. Sunrise Blvd., Fort Lauderdale). The show starts at 8 p.m., and admission is free. Call 954-762-9488, or visit myspace.com/radio_active_records.
