Superhero Nerds, Unite

Marvel or DC? Superman or Captain America? The X-Men or The Avengers? Whatever the choice may be, everyone has a preference when it comes to comic books and superheroes. But why not root for Iron Man and the Hulk with a bunch of like-minded folks? On Thursday, comic-book haven Tate's Comics will host a special midnight 3-D screening of The Avengers. However, please don't get the locations confused. Although Tate's is throwing this shindig, the movie will be shown at Regal Cypress Creek Station 16 Theaters, located at 6415 N. Andrews Ave., Fort Lauderdale. There will be a live podcast of the event from the blog "Just a Couple of G's" on iTunes, photo ops with costume cuties, trivia with prizes, and lots more goodies to be revealed that night. Admission to the special screening is the sole cost of a movie ticket, and make sure to let the box office know that you're with Tate's crew. Call 954-748-0181, or visit tatescomics.com.
