Sweet Dreams are Made of This

Before you go cracking that sweet tooth on your coworker's misshapen gingerbread men, consider the spread at this weekend's Sweet Dreams festival. There, multiple dessert stations will serve up nonstale treats like crepes, liquid nitrogen ice cream, and a chocolate fountain. Local restaurants and specialty bakers will contribute sugar-laced goods, with places like Melting Pot, III Forks Prime Steakhouse, and Cake Delirium, plus many others, set to participate. The sixth-annual Sweet Dreams holiday festival is 6 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the Seminole Casino Coconut Creek, located at 5550 NW 40th St. in Coconut Creek. Tickets cost $25 for general admission and include beer and wine, plus live musical entertainment. A $35 VIP ticket grants access to open bars sponsored by Three Olives Vodka and Patrón. The event benefits the Broward Health/Lisa Boccard Breast Cancer Foundation and the Ronald McDonald House. This is a 21-and-older event. Call 954-977-6700, or visit seminolecasinococonutcreek.com.
Fri., Dec. 7, 6-10 p.m.; Sat., Dec. 8, 6-10 p.m., 2012
