The After Fete Fete

Celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, Lake Worth's Reggae Fest never disappoints in its steadfast rock-steady musical acts and delectable jerked-chicken, oxtail, and curried-goat delights. Despite all the festival's unfaltering Caribbean enchantments, there are always those insatiable ones craving just one more irie tune or a few more sudsy brews when the festival is done. Thankfully for these voracious roots-reggae fans, Lake Worth's most musical dive bar, Propaganda, is throwing a proper jam to keep the riddim flowing. Being Reggae Fest's Official After Party, as a matter of fact, expect the entertainment element to be supreme. The perfect duo of acts awaits: Lake Worth's Spred the Dub's Clash-style reggae-rock meets Lee "Scratch" Perry's madhouse dub and Roots Shakedown's feel-good dance-floor island flair; together, they offer a bit of something for every Reggae Fest after-fest reveler. A generous happy hour, from 8 to 10 p.m., when ladies drink for free and fellas receive wells and select brews for $3, will up the posttime merriment. This reggae afterbash begins at 8 p.m. Friday at Propaganda, located at 6 S. J St. in Lake Worth. Tickets cost $5 for those 21 and up and $10 for those 18 to 20. Visit, or call 561- 547-7273.
