The Golden Girls

Give everything Barbie the attention, the honor, and the intensity it deserves at "Barbie: The Golden Exhibit" at the Museum of Lifestyle & Fashion History at the Boynton Beach Mall (801 N. Congress Ave., Boynton Beach). Why now? Well, because Barbie’s 50. And she’ll turn 51 in March. And it’s better to check her out before the going gets tough. The exhibit will also show you the milestones, different countries’ Barbie cultures, and the wardrobes. It won’t be all fun and games, though — remember the controversy? Barbie as the image for the perfect body? This exhibit will also brush you up on that. Admission is $5, $1 for children 2 to 11, and free for those under 2. Call 561-243-2662, or visit
Tuesdays-Saturdays, 10 a.m.; First Sunday of every month, 1 p.m. Starts: Feb. 5. Continues through July 11, 2010
