It's official: School is out for the holidays. Aside from all the chaos that takes place this wonderful time of year, now you have some sugar-cookie-crazed kids to keep busy. If you're looking for a way to wear them out and soothe your holiday stress in the process, Broward Parks is hosting School's Out -- Camp Out at Easterlin and Quiet Waters parks this Sunday through Thursday and again December 30 through January 3. The parks are offering special rates: $20 for up to four campers; two additional can be added for $3 per head. Up to two pets can come along for $1 per furry friend, but proof of vaccination is required. Have your own tent? Check out Easterlin Park -- it has ten sites, some with electricity and running water. If you can't be bothered, head to Quiet Waters, which has platform tents and two tepees already pitched. Reservations are required. Call 954-357-5190 for Easterlin (1000 NW 38th St., Oakland Park) or 954-357-5100 for Quiet Waters (401 S. Powerline Road, Deerfield Beach), or visit broward.org/parks/camping.
