The Play Station

Instead of staying home to watch reruns of Queer As Folk, head over to SideLines Sports Bar for Monday Game Night. No, they’re not hosting the Gay Bar Olympics or anything — so don’t wear spandex, please — but the competition can get heated over dominoes, cards, board games, backgammon, chess, checkers, Jenga and the like. If trying to pull out the funny bone in a rousing round of Operation doesn’t give you enough of a buzz, take advantage of the Monday night drink specials, like the two-for-one happy hour running from 2 to 9 p.m. More specials start at midnight and end when the joint closes. And, hey, you can always bring the players home to your casa if you’re too drunk for Uno.

Playtime can start as early as 6:30, so park your heinie strategically at SideLines Sports Bar, found at 2031 Wilton Drive in Wilton Manors. There’s no cover. Call 954-563-8001, or visit
Mon., April 6, 6:30 p.m., 2009
